Artichokes, Jerusalem
Roast, steam or boil them or make into soup. Our new favorite is baked with cream in the oven....
1 lightly butter a shallow, ceramic, heat proof dish
2 peel or scrub about 150g of artichkes per person then slice thinly.
3 lay the sliced artichoke in the dish. Sprinkle with a little freshly groung black pepper.
4 Poor over a little cream
5 add a sparse layer of finely grated cheese
6 bake in the oven at a medium temperature for about half an hour.
